A three-wheeled Vespa scooter the new Can-Am Spyder certainly is not. This Knight Rider-looking vehicle is instead described by maker Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) as part motorcycle and part convertible sports car.
The Can-Am Spyder rolls on three wheels (two in the front), a sweet-looking design and a Y-shaped architecture, all propelled by a Rotax 998cc engine. It rides on a steel spine and has sports car-like suspension. A multifunction gauge cluster lets you view a variety of critical details as you drive down the open road. To top it all off there's also a five-speed gearbox and four electronic control units which, while they won't make this vehicle talk to you like KITT would, do handle things like security and vehicle stability. Expect to pay around 15,000 to 17,000 ponies when the Spyder crawls into production later this year.

Now I adore motorcycles to the hilt but I was kind of overjoyed by the news. This is simply awesome. And simply love the 3-wheel anti-lock brakes with electronic brake force distribution, traction control - to ensure all that power gets to the road, its gripping clutch parts and vehicle stability control.
