Record songs off the radio then stay put

VJ_10_1.jpg

This Olympus VJ-10 is the spiritual successor to taping songs off the radio, one of those rites of passage that no longer exist now that, well, no one really listens to the radio anymore. But never mind that! This radio has 37GBs of disk space for recording all of your favorite right-wing talk radio shows and top 40 countdowns! Hot damn!

It can also load up with MP3s and WMAs, but I can't get over the fact that this isn't portable. I mean, if you sit and listen to the radio at your desk all day I guess this is cool, but it seems like it has a lot of features stuffed into a pretty inconvenient package. But hey, I'm sure there are one or two people out there that'll be excited about this.

Is that a USB port I spy with my little eye? Sorry, couldn't resist. Anyway, since it has a port, the logical use for this is to record songs while your out doing whatever you do to trick yourself into believing you have friends and maybe even play some music to perk you up when you can't escape the fact that you don't.
