NightCove helps you sleep better with less money

nightcove.jpg

This NightCove light is designed to make your sleep cycles healthier and to make you feel more refreshed in the morning. By using space-age "LED" light technology, the light sends light of various intensities washing over you as you sleep. You can set it to work for a full nights sleep or just a nap, and it syncs up with your cycle to tell your body to pump out more delicious melatonin.

Sounds kind of cool, but also kind of potentially BS. I'm not sure how much of a difference some dim, flashing lights will have on my sleep cycle, but I guess it's worth a try. Lemme just check the price tage here and— whaaaat?! One of these lights costs over $2,300? Well then now I know it's rubbish, as there's no way that what this thing is supposed to do would cost that much. This is idiot rich person bait; do yourself a favor and don't bite.

You can make the same thing very cheaply by taking apart one of those fiber optic Christmas trees that cycles thru different colors. Take that out of the tree and put it in an old light fixture, or a new one if you want to look modern. Voila! I can't imagine this light has anything in it worth $2300. It might be worth that in, say, 700 years.
