Pretty much all alarm clocks, no matter how clever they are, look cold and impersonal. There are very few models out there that don't have the same plastic casing and harsh LED lights. I don't need my alarm clock to fly away or slap me in the face, but if it would look a bit warmer and classier that would be just great.
