It's basically a glorified proximity detector, as it can just tell when your face is close to the screen. It then assumes that if your face is near the screen, your back and neck are at awkward angles. It won't do you a damn bit of good if you're a sloucher, which seems to be a more likely posture problem for the Internet set.
