Vertical mouse keeps the ergonomics coming

vertical_mouse.jpg

We welcome any and all ideas to combat repetitive-stress injuries, and this vertical mouse promises to do just that. The Evoluent Vertical Mouse 2 said to keep your hand in a more relaxed position than a regular mouse, since you don't need to twist your arm that quarter-turn counterclockwise (or clockwise if you're a lefty) to do your pointin' and clickin'. It would certainly take some getting used to, though the theory sounds pretty good — especially if you're the type to play 18 straight hours of Civilization IV. Which, uh, a friend of mine has been known to do sometimes.

The mouse has a resolution of 1,200 dpi and is compatible with both PCs and Macs. Try it for yourself for about $70 from the Fun Shop.

I have been using an Evoluent mouse for about 3 years and I think they should be on every desk with a computer. They make that much difference in the feeling of the wrist in just days of use, especially if you have carpal tunnel problems.
