Siren screams music across your home

siren_screamer.jpg

You could plug your raging speakers into your tinny laptop, but that would involve either a really long cord or keeping your computer in the living room. Siren has attempted to solve this problem with its Screamer, a device that wirelessly transmits music from your computer to your sound system. Its remote has an LCD screen and is compatible with iTunes and Windows Media Player, letting you scroll through your songs from the couch. And the USB transmitting dongle that beams the music is supposed to transmit waves up to 150 feet, which is pretty much longer than any house you'll ever own. They've also announced some good-looking wireless headphones that can Skype or receive music from afar.

Being able to transmit your computer's music so easily makes all these fancy ipod docks seem so 2006.
