Here it is: hot slick gadget No. 1 from CES Unveiled. Celestron, maker of last year's notable SkyScout, this year brings us the VistaPix IS70, a digital spotting scope with a camera built in. The scope has a powerful 14x optical zoom for bringing images closer to you, and in addition to the viewfinder there's a 2-inch LCD that flips up from the top. The 3.1-megapixel camera an 32 MB of internal memory aren't much to write home about, but it's mainly meant for bringing live action closer. You still get a remote trigger and an SD port for those pix when you need 'em, though. Plus it just looks damn cool. Expect it to drop in the spring for $479.
