Samsung creates first double-sided flat panel TV

Samsung double sided tv

What's better than a flat-panel television? A flat-panel television with a screen on both sides, that's what. Right? I mean, sure, most people have one side up against the wall all the time, but just the idea of being able to flip your TV around and keep watching the Discovery Channel is pretty cool. I guess.

Actually, a double-sided TV would probably be used for things like trade shows and other non-living room-related experiences, but that doesn't mean they aren't a hot commodity. Samsung just announced the first one, a 2.22-inch wide model that can show two different videos simultaneously. Neither of them will be HD, but what do you want here? It's not like you'll be buying one anyways. It'll be shown off for the first time next week in Vegas at CES.

I thought that someone would solve the useage problem, not fight over a word. You could put this in the middle of a living room then just sit people on both sides to watch what they want, granted the sound will be and issue but with all the wireless headphones out there that shouldn't be a problem.
