What this computer doesn't have is part of the news! The new Malata PC-68001 Personal Computer lacks a hard-disk drive, nor does it have a CD-ROM. What it will have is an affordable price: around $300 when it arrives in the U.S. later this year.
Designed for students and those looking for an affordable PC for Web browsing and e-mail, the PC-68001 is pre-installed with the Linux operating system and features an 8-inch widescreen TFT LCD screen with native 800 x 480-pixel resolution, an HDMI jack for VGA output, 1 GB of flash memory, and 256 MB of RAM. This ultra-compact PC also supports an external CD-ROM and hard-disk drive via the USB port should you absolutely need those features.

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that's not proper grammar.
Anyway, it looks like a ripoff of the $100 laptop project. Decent office software doesn't quite work with such a low res(I've tried) though the RAM should allow it to flow right. And XP doesn't seem like the OS to use with only 1GB of storage space.

That looks pretty cool, could be much like a Nokia 770 with a keyboard attached.
Can you tell us what CPU it has, what the expected battery life is, and what wireless options it has? (Bluetooth? WiFi?)
Also, do you have a better shot of the keyboard?

Wow... What a machine! There better be an external magneto-optical drive(CD-ROM) and Hard Drive!
What about the printer? No Computer can legitimately call itself so unless there is a printer, whether it's a usb, or a parallel...
