Allow me to introduce the JVC HD Everio GZ-HD7 camcorder. With not one, but three CCD image sensors (one for each red, green, and blue), the GZ-HD7 is primed to take in all it can swallow. These 16:9 progressive-scan CCDs capture at 1,920 x 1080-pixel images, which will make whatever you do look really, really good. Laden with a 60-GB hard drive, you can shoot about five hours of your little girl's birthday party in HD (not that I condone this sort of behavior).
What you can really brag about, however, is the fact that this is the first consumer camcorder to use a broadcast-quality HD Fujinon lens. With quality like this I hope you'll be using it for good, and not evil. It ships out this April for $1,800 — just in time to record a fishing trip in HD.
