


Okay, the music-playing watch. Before you dismiss the idea as this decade's version of the calculator watch, have a look at this prototype version from iriver. The design has a number of things going for it: first, the MP3 player, which looks loosely based on the company's 2-GB S10 model, is removable, so you can pop it in your pocket when you want to free your wrist. Second, the USB cable — typically an inconvenient, easily misplaced accessory — is built into the strap. Best of all, the watch/player is equipped with Bluetooth for wirelessly streaming music to a pair of Bluetooth headphones, so you're not ridiculously tethered to your wrist when you want to hear some music.
Since this product looks like it's just getting out of the concept stage, there's no info on price or availability, but we'll be sure to keep hassling them until it comes out. Check out another couple of pics of the watch/player hybrid after the jump.
