Forgiato Radurra glass wheels, for that supernatural floating effect

motorcycle_glassewheels.jpg

What, is this a magic trick? Although these glass wheels may be difficult to keep clean, they certainly do give this futuristic motorcycle an eerie and almost magically floating look. The Radurra (Italian for "clear") wheels are made by Italian company Forgiato, and their jewel-like appearance is no accident, since the company has its roots in jewelry manufacturing. Each wheel's hard-coated polycarbonate center is attached to its forged-aluminum hoop in much the same way a diamond is placed into its solitaire setting.

All that fine craftsmanship comes at a price; these wheels will run you at least $5,000 a pop, so there's no use wasting them on some beat-up heap. Hey, they'd be perfectly fitting for one of the Top 10 high-tech vehicles for the filthy rich. Yeah, might as well spring for that fantastic new chopper or foreign luxury automobile just to do these babies justice. The wheels are available in a variety of custom colors and finishes for motorcycles and other vehicles.

Take a look at a tight shot of another exquisitely crafted wheel specifically made for high-end cars after the jump.
