Belkin's TuneStudio: Mixing board for your iPod

belkin_TuneStudio.jpg

Making a mix is more than just picking which songs you want to rip to your iPod. Belkin is giving you a chance to make your own original music, using the iPod as your master recorder. The TuneStudio, which will be available this summer for video (5G) iPods, is a four-channel mixer that allows for direct recording from instruments and microphones. It can even help turn a vanilla podcast into a full-blown show with background music accurately mixed to complement rather than compete with the spoken word.

Not only that, but the TuneStudio will be able to act as an external USB sound card and allow for the input of audio from a PC source, including studio-grade XLR. You can also output to a PC from any of the devices various audio connections. Time to get mixing!
