Windows Vista's SideShow is starting to gain lots of traction, and buzz is building about its ability to drive an extra display of various sizes. Heck, we even saw one little SideShow screen nestled inside a handbag the other week. Asus rises to the occasion with its ScreenDUO secondary display, a widget viewer that works along with some PC motherboards (including four from Asus and a few others, too) designed specifically for Microsoft Vista.
Plug ScreenDUO into a USB port on one of these motherboards, and Vista can continuously synchronize your choice of widgets from your PC, websites, or RSS feeds — even if the host PC is switched off.
This is only the leading edge of innovation we'll be seeing with Windows Vista in the coming weeks, and Asus is just the first motherboard manufacturer to receive that Microsoft stamp of approval. There are plenty more innovations on the way. Let the SideShow begin!
