Okay, people. Let's stop the madness here. There's no need to make a USB-powered version of every gadget and appliance ever. USB is not going to take over for standard outlets, and just because the diminutive port can power things like heated slippers doesn't mean it should.

One of the most egregious offenders yet when it comes to incomprehensibly USB-powered gadgets is this USB shaver. Just like the name suggests, it's a standard electric shaver that gets its juice from USB. Why? Seriously, who can tell me why this is necessary? Are you always shaving at your computer, so much so that you want to keep your razor plugged into it? Don't you need a mirror to shave properly? How can anyone claim this is anything but a stupid gimmick?

I'm begging you, gadget designers and manufacturers: cut it out. Let's stop this madness before you come out with a USB-powered hair dryer or hedge clipper or something. No one wants to see that.
