One-handed Xbox controller is a stroke of brilliance

one-handed xbox controller

How many times have you had to pause Gears of War because you needed a free hand to answer the phone, stuff a Dorito into your mouth, or scratch an itch? That kind of thing totally takes away from the pacing and flow of the game, dude. Why suffer such hardships?

Don't worry, gamers — Ben Heckendorn's got your back. He's designed a really sweet one-handed Xbox 360 controller that should take care of all your problems. I mean, sure, it was designed for an injured serviceman who served in Iraq, but you wanting to scratch your butt without pausing the game is pretty noble, too, I guess.

The controller features a thumbstick on the front and the other on the back, positioned on an extension and able to be used on your leg or against a table. All of the buttons are on the underside as well, able to be manipulated by your fingers. Overall, it's a pretty brilliant design. While there are no plans for this design to hit stores at the moment, I wouldn't be surprised if some company picked it up.
