The lowly toilet is basically the last appliance in your house you would think to give an aesthetic upgrade, but why? And I'm not talking about adding strange and awkward gadget functionality to the toilet, either; I don't need it to do anything more than it already does. But can't we do something to spice it up a bit? A splash (forgive the expression) of color, perhaps?
I like the way Japanese company Satis thinks (where else does toilet-related innovation come from but Japan?). They've designed a series of colorful abodes that look like oversized kids toys. I mean, if designers can have so much fun fiddling around with the refrigerator, why not the toilet? Bring on the redecorated bathrooms!
