I don't know if any of you guys have heard about this new Nintendo system that just came out, it's called the Wii? Anyone? Well, it just debuted this weekend, and there was a big event-type-thing in NYC at the huge, gaudy Toys 'R' Us in Times Square. Thousands of people showed up and waited in line, and unlike the PS3 launch earlier in the week none of them left unhappy. Yeah, the official launch provided 5,000 Wiis to the store, ensuring that everyone who showed up got one. Pretty smooth, Nintendo. The only downside to that is that it probably made the people who sat on the sidewalk all night feel kind of stupid, as they could have just showed up right at midnight and gotten the same result. Ah well, you live, you learn. In addition to the fun line-sitting-related activities, Nintendo busted out Segways loaded with flat-screen TVs and Wiis, giving the faithful a chance to try ExciteTruck a couple hours early. Aren't you jealous?
