The Beatles, one of the last major holdouts to keep their music from online music stores, are apparently in talks with Apple to not only put their catalogue exclusively on the iTunes Music Store, but to sign off on a Beatles iPod as well. Furthermore, there's talk of even using a Beatles song in an iPod commercial. Move over, Bono. Sir Paul is here to share your gadget-whoring duties.
This seems to be a somewhat strange turn of events, seeing The Beatles' Apple records sued Apple computers earlier this year. But hey, money is money, and now that they're down to only two Beatles left there's even more profit to be made by Ringo and Paul. So get ready to cringe, as Eleanor Rigby might be coming soon to an iPod commercial near you.
