If you had some ideas about lining up for Sony's PlayStation 3 launch party in Manhattan after work today, you're out of luck. In fact, you've been out of luck for a while now. The line is all full, led by the big guy on the left there, Angel Paredes. He's been in line since Monday, which sounds kind of crazy, but it's nowhere near as ridiculous as, say, lining up a month before a movie comes out, since he's actually going to be one of the lucky few to actually buy a PS3 at midnight tonight (the offical release date is tomorrow).
It actually makes a ton more sense when you consider he could turn the thing around on eBay and more than double his investment. Reports are trickling into the SCI FI Tech mainframe of lineups as long as a hundred people outside various Circuit Citys and Best Buys waiting to get their hands on the console. The vast majority of them will probably be left in teary disappointment, since the number of consoles actually available for people to buy will likely be far less than the demand. Don't say we didn't warn you.
