Getting prints made of your digital photos can often show you why it's important to have your monitor properly calibrated: what looked great on the screen can look quite different on paper if your screen isn't showing you accurate colors. How do you straighten out this mess? Get Huey. Huey is a nifty little calibration tool that plugs into your USB port and takes a scant three minutes to figure out why everyone in your photos looks like they were just found washed up on a beach somewhere. Unfortunately, as it's a British product the exchange rate makes this a bit pricier than it's probably worth to us State-siders: about $115. Perhaps you should just treat this as motivation to go hold a photo you took up next to your monitor and fiddle with the colors until it looks right.
