The fine lads over at Gizmodo got their hands on Microsoft's new Zune audio player and let loose with a great, in depth look at the tasty gadget as well as the Zune Marketplace that Microsoft hopes will steal some of iTunes' thunder this holiday season. One of the more interesting tidbits they found is the ability to set up someone as a "guest" on your marketplace, allowing you to freely share songs, videos, and photos with the person. You can have up to 5 guests sharing your Marketplace-purchased songs, which is a nice touch. The WiFi built into the Zune is primed and ready to be taken much fuller advantage of in later software updates, as Microsoft wanted to just get a simple, intuitive player out there before unleashing more advanced features. Overall it looks like a pretty solid device, one we can't wait to get our hands on to play with ourselves.
