Smartphone ahoy! LG is set to debut its VX9900 phone with a QWERTY keyboard, which infatuated buyers in the U.S. will be able to pick up on November 27th. If you submit to the will of Verizon for two years, it's yours for $200; absent a contract, it costs $320. The slick mobile includes a 2-megapixel camera, a MicroSD card slot for beefing up the memory, and stereo speakers. I always get amused by tiny gadgets that tout speakers as "stereo" — like, what's the point of having two channels on something that small? Anyway, the VX9900 also supports Verizon's high-speed EV-DO data network, letting you do fancy stuff like streaming video to that squint-worthy screen. And if you don't like the unfolding form factor, you have plenty of other options.

Not even touching upon the fact that the word "like" was used in this "story". The VX9900 is not a smartphone. A smartphone is a phone bearing some sort of windows or palm or even linux software. The VX9900 is a phone with a keyboard. The screen is not small, and certainly not squint worthy. I have the VX9800 and enjoy both the stereo speakers and the streaming video. Remind me to never visit scifi.com again for news/information.

the LG VX9900 is amazing because it's really easy to use and if you want to text someone you don't have to search for the letters once you open the phone you will be allowed just text someone so i will consider anyone to buy this phone even though the screen is a little bit small but it's perfect. THIS PHONE ROCKS
