The Upravlator, shown here with an optional stand, is a neat-o (if somewhat over-the-top) "keyboard" for graphic designers, video producers, photo editors, and the like. The 10.8-inch, 800 x 600-pixel LCD screen, is divided evenly into 12 clear buttons. Each button can be activated by pushing it up or down, left or right, or smack in the middle — giving each one a total of five functions. If you're not a graphic designer or video editor, you could always just use it to impress your friends. Connect it to your PC and have it display the album art of the song you have blasting in your room. Or have it keep an eye on your e-mail account. Of course, you might look pretty silly with 10 empty buttons, and that won't impress anyone. If you're looking to buy something just for kicks, a robot shark might make a better purchase. Still thinking about getting one of these button machines? You'll get a chance to think long and hard, because you won't see them anywhere until the second half of 2007.
