The Tao of iPod: i-Stones docking stations

i-stones.jpg

When listening to your iPod at home, do you find its sleek modern lines interfere with your earthy décor? These stony iPod docks might be a little more to your liking. Adding that Japanese-garden element that so many other speaker docks lack, the i-Stones come in two flavors: Wabi and Sabi. From the looks of them, the darker Sabi (right) is for your regular iPod, since it sports an S-video output for hookup to a TV. The more chiseled Wabi lacks this feature, but weighs a couple of pounds lighter. Doesn't look like these are speaker docks — rather connection hubs for hooking your iPod up to your home gear — though it's hard to tell from the Japanese text on the site. But it's the Zen factor you're paying for anyway.
