If you live in a shoebox studio apartment where your bathtub's in the kitchen and every cubic inch of space is at a premium, the Scroll Pan was conceived just with you in mind. Made of flexible diphenyl silicone and coated with Teflon, the SP provides a bendy cooking surface that you can roll up and tuck out of the way when you're not wearing your chef's hat. Sam Hextall's concept design is a nice idea from the housewares department, although it's no Transparent Toaster… I mean, those handles look heavy enough to flip the whole thing off your stove if you let go of them. Plus it's pretty useless for anything on the liquid side, since your five-alarm chili will just run off the sides. Still, it makes for a novel twist on common kitchen gear, as long as you don't mind giving up that handy double function of the frying pan: being a convenient bludgeoning weapon in a pinch.
