Cell phones are becoming less phones and more catch-all gadgets every day, with very few models available that can just make calls well without taking on a bunch of price-increasing bells and whistles. What about those of us that aren't interested in a crappy camera and Internet access? Well, the O2 Jet looks to be just what we're looking for. A simple, slick little phone, it gives you a seriously impressive 9.9 hours of talk time and over 3 weeks of standby time before needing a recharge. That's about 10 times the interval between recharges that my current phone has, and it sounds like a more useful feature than being able to log onto MySpace remotely (which undoubtedly drains your battery). So there's no camera, no games, and no Web access — just a phone with Bluetooth and e-mail support. It'll be available in the U.K. on October 19th for about $113. No word on U.S. availability.
