There's a new device out there that can apparently predict roulette outcomes, allowing unscrupulous gamblers to win boatloads of money at casinos. In England, the device is selling for nearly $1,900 in anticipation of the soon to be deregulated gambling industry there. The device consists of a small earpiece, a hidden computer, and a digital time recorder, and it works by detecting "bias" in roulette wheels. As roulette wheels aren't always perfectly balanced, there are certain numbers that the ball is more likely to land in, and therefore by tracking how it performs over a period of time it's possible to predict where the ball has a higher chance of landing. The U.K. government tested it out and says that it does indeed work, but haven't outlawed it. Instead, casinos will have to police themselves, which if Hollywood is accurate means a lot of broken joints for people who get caught with it. And Hollywood doesn't lie, so be smart and go earn some money honestly, people.
