The secondary screen on the outside of may cell phones is really handy, allowing you to see who's calling, take pictures, or see the time without opening up your phone. Laptops are getting into the game as well, with Asus unveiling a laptop with a small screen on the outside. It'll allow you to do things like control the MP3 player and check your email without opening the computer up. It's a pretty clever idea, one that's sure to start popping up on all sorts of laptops in the future. You could feasibly do all sorts of things through that small screen like checking the battery life, seeing if there's a Wi-Fi signal around, or ensuring that a file finished downloading. The outer screen is merely a prototype, though, as Asus is just showing off the technology rather than unveiling a specific model. Just you wait, you'll be seeing this sort of thing in Best Buy in no time.
