Upgraded Segway models offer new ways to embarrass yourself

segway.jpg

Good news today for the elderly and embarrassed beat cops: there are two new Segway models up for sale. The x2 and the i2 both feature new LeanSteer technology, allowing riders to turn simply by leaning in the direction they want to go. The original Segway was propelled forwards and backwards by leaning, but needed to be turned using the handlebars. The i2 is the upgrade for the traditional Segway, able to travel 24 miles on a charge, while the x2 is the off road version, complete with beefy tires, that can travel 12 miles on a charge. Perhaps these upgrades are just the developments the world was waiting for to finally accept the Segway as a replacement for walking. Oh, did I mention the price? The i2 is $5,000 and the x2 is $5,500. I'll stick to walking, thanks.

Wow... I am shocked to read your title, Adam (you are the writer I assume). Just how negative and bias your tone is toward a piece of innovative technology, and you work for Si-Fi?? I am not sure if I should bother come back again.

Well, TC needs to get over himself. Yes, I suppose the Segway is created from innovative technology, but let me see it put to good use before I get impressed. The Segway can't do anything my legs won't do and my legs are a much better value. I agree, Adam - I would be horribly ashamed to be caught on one of those stupid things.
