Philips Pronto is the Cadillac of remote controls

pronto9600

If you like your remote controls gigantic and shiny, this Philips TSU 9600 Pronto should be just the coffee-table filler you're looking for. Featuring a big ol' 3.7-inch touchscreen, the Pronto is designed to control pretty much everything. It can work through walls, so you can do stuff like open the garage from bed if you so desire. It's got nice, big customizable buttons that can be programmed with sound ("C-Span? Get a life!") and the whole thing can be configured on your PC, which should make the whole process a lot easier. There's no pricing or availability info on this at the moment, but it's safe to say it won't be worth picking it up to control a 13-inch TV.
