Because there's no lock to pick, it's a lot more secure than your standard deadbolt, and there's a slide-out keypad for when you forget the tag in the house. The lock runs on four AA batteries, and if those batteries die simply press a 9-volt battery up to the terminal and you should be inside in no time.
