Koss Bluetooth headphones: go wireless for $180

Koss_Cobalt.jpg

So I was chatting with somebody from Amazon's Electronics Store yesterday, and we were pondering why Bluetooth headphones haven't caught on all that much. I mean, I have to say, as convenient as my iPod shuffle is, the No. 1 annoying thing about listening to music on it at the gym is that pesky cord snaking down my neck to my arm. Maybe Koss's Cobalt headphones are the model that breaks new ground in the category. Maybe when people get a taste of just how easy it is to plug the transmitter into an iPod to cut away those cables forever, wireless headphones will become all the rage. Maybe then, when they're wearing the neat, foldable design and hear how much better music sounds over Bluetooth than over those cheap FM-transmitter thingies, they'll wonder how they ever got along without the Cobalt. Maybe the supplied dongle for connecting to your PC, the built-in microphone for taking calls relayed from your Bluetooth cell phone, and the 8 hours of rated battery life will finally convince music listeners to rise up and realize they don't have to tether their heads to anything — ever again! Maybe the affordable price will… how much? $180?! Uh, never mind….
