Special sunglasses promise headache prevention

TriggerShades_w.jpg

I guess I'm pretty lucky, but I hardly ever get headaches, so it's never really occurred to me to look beyond pill-form relief. But I suppose if migraines targeted me daily, I might seek out these headache-preventing sunglasses from Trigger Optics. Created by radio-frequency engineer Rick Cosby, the glasses go further than just darkening your view to ease the stress of a headache — Cosby's specs actually claim to prevent headaches. Through trial and error, the company's site says, the Trigger team has apparently identified the wave harmonics that can set off everything from migraines to sinus headaches, and even if the glasses don't prevent the pain, they can at least relieve it more effectively than your drugstore shades. I'd be a little more sold if the page didn't look straight out of a Commerce Site 101 textbook, and if that message in the corner promising $50 off if you order before midnight wasn't there. But if you feel like your skull's in a vice, and you need just need the pain to stop, stop, STOP SWEET MOTHER OF MERCY PLEASE MAKE THE PAIN STOP… there's a chance 80 bucks will buy you a little relief. Just don't pick up any cell phone antennas while you're surfing, okay kids?
