Viliv P2 portable media player: format maven

viliv_w.jpg

This new Viliv P2 portable media player (no relation to the Intel Viiv processor) is a monster of video and audio portability. A monster, we tell you. It sports a generous 4.3-inch touchscreen, GPS navigation, a 20- or 30-GB hard drive to store all of your media, and a TV output so you can watch said media on a TV. It runs either Windows CE (Windows for portables) or Linux (cue nerdy girlish squeal), and can support a whole lot of audio and video file formats. Ready for 'em? Deep breath… MP3, WMA, OGG, AC3, SCM, WAV, AIFF, AAC, XviD, MPEG-1/2/4, ASF, and WMV 7/8/9. Phew. The only thing absent on the Viliv is a cell phone, but I suppose we can't always get everything we want. No pricing info availability at the moment, but we'll keep our ears to the ground for you.
