Good news for those of you on the Snickers and Pepsi diet: researchers at the University of Alberta in Canada are developing a low-intensity pulsed ultrasound that can actually regrow damaged or missing teeth. A tiny pea sized device would be held in place over the area in question via a crown or bridge, and noticeable growth would occur after a mere 4 weeks of 20 minute daily massages. Don't order the bulk Pixie Stix just yet, though — this tech won't be available for at least a couple more years, so brushing your teeth is still advised. Engadget ponders whether or not this technology could ever be used to grow bones in shorties without the use of growth hormones, which is certainly an interesting idea. We, of course, will keep you updated.

This would actually be a very awesome thing to be able to use, i know a lot of people, including me who could benefit from something like this.
This could also in theory, replace the use of braces.

This is the first I have heard about being able to regrow teeth. I wonder what these treatments will cost.. I look forward to some follow-up on this article. I have to search to see if anyone else is talking about it. I came across this site just searching for Ultrasound Tech Infromation and saw this story. Please keep us posted. Thanks, Teresa
