Apparently the Nintendo DS Lite, which was due to hit stores June 11th, has begun popping up ahead of schedule at certain Wal-Marts and Targets. With the electronics departments of those stores staffed by workers who didn't quite make it to MIT, this is almost certainly a mistake, and not some sort of surprise leak from Nintendo. This news probably won't elicit the kind of madness that, say, a Wii hitting store shelves two weeks early would bring, as the regular DS has been available for a long time and there isn't quite as much hype about the Lite version. But don't let that stop you from going and harassing your local big-box retail employees until they give up the goods.
