Kwarx: the unbreakable wineglass

While wineglass technology Kwarx can't yet keep you from spilling that Cab Sauvignon all over the place, it can at least keep the glass from breaking when it hits the floor. Kwarx is a new material developed by ARC International, parent company to glassware maker Mikasa. Virtually unbreakable, the material will be used to make six different types of wineglass in Mikasa's new Open Up line. While retaining the luster and transparency of normal glass, a Kwarx won't shatter or break, although ARC is keeping its lips sealed as to what exactly Kwarx is. Reverse-engineered from some boozehound alien life form perhaps? The investigation continues…
